ASSOCIATE
Gerard Schiano-Strain is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. Mr. Schiano-Strain has civil trial and appellate experience litigating issues concerning contracts, employment matters, shareholder disputes, construction, commercial real estate, defamation, and property matters.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Schiano-Strain gained significant litigation and trial experience while serving as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department. During his tenure for the Law Department, he litigated and tried cases involving government contracts, construction disputes, employment matters, and civil rights in both state and federal court.
In private practice, Mr. Schiano-Strain has used his litigation, trial and appellate skills to represent manufacturers, land owners, developers, employers, restaurant owners, shareholders, and individuals with various types of legal matters.
He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyer’s Association.
He is a graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus (B.A., cum laude, 1997), and New York Law School (J.D., 2002), where he was a Dean’s List student.
